Yes, what I find amusing is that her 'Biden You're Fired' sign could be a message from Trump or a message from Biden. She's also Assistant Director of the Insider Threat Office, which tries to mitigate threats to the US from within including disclosure i.e. the kind of thing Trump was accused of in the Mar-a-Lago case.

I think the aim was to build a justification for this kind of thing, as well as carry it out.

Because, you know, you can't just gun someone down in the street without fuelling up on your morning cup o' Joe first, can you?

They don't have to have been a professional, could just be a regular person with firearms experience or someone who'd been preparing for months.

I think a lot of people are hoping it's a little guy striking back at 'The Man'. That'd be more satisfying than it being some sort of corporate hit or the result of a personal dispute.

Practicing at home with a target will help you get used to using the gun properly, sure, but that's not going to make it any easier to gun down a stranger in cold blood in broad daylight on a busy street, is it?

I'd say the percentage of the general public capable of doing that is probably going to be pretty small, even in the US where it's common for ordinary people to own guns, no matter how justified the grudge.

Then again, this guy could be a battle-hardened ex-marine for all we know.

You don't have to be a professional to be a psycho. The kind of person who gets to the point of carrying out an assassination is probably wired up a little differently to the average person, whether they're doing it for professional or personal reasons.

They've released photos of a suspect now, so it'll be interesting to see how the story develops. He looks like Simon Reeve.

I really liked the Fincher film "The Killer" about an incel-y assassin. It was as unrealistic as John Wick in many respects but I appreciated how he was portrayed as genuinely amoral, willing to murder women and children if he has to without a second thought.

In that film though (SPOILER ALERT) he spared the evil billionaire.

It's hard to feel much sympathy for someone in that line of work, particularly that high up in it and working for a notoriously callous company.
