Haven't been through there in years, might be different now, but the Amtrak train used to pass by some pretty desolate sections. Blocks of boarded up row houses, with a couple of guys standing on a corner.

Er, waddaya wanna know? The first band on was a 3 piece from providence called gric or something like that. OK but very slow and deliberate. Lead singer guitarist was good, she was like Kate Bush or bjork. Guy I spoke to about said they were taking off J mascis/dinosaur Jr.

Then second band was bassist from first with different drummer, she was doing a sort of jet set era sonic youth thing. Bit affected.

Last band basically funky dance thing.

Or do you mean after that?

In the pub today it was about 18 for 3 drinks and I had a 20 so I said "is the change OK for a top" and the guy was fine, he said "it's a solid 12%", seemed cool.

I asked if we could go to a place like this and they said no. They are not into going somewhere just to look, they said if they knew someone there, I could go. But they don't.

It's just over eleven percent... why have a system based on percentages if noone can figure them out?

Everyone agrees it's a bad system and linked to mainly historical issues and stuff beyond anyone's control.

I tipped the shop staff well over 20% in avam cos the shop was so good, and they wouldn't have it. But they did let me donate it.

My cousin has been live tweeting my adventures so far.

In one, he's put "The dude abides..." as the caption to me talking about trees.

And someone in the comments on the thread has put "Extremely cool that Dave grohl is your cousin".
