Elijah I enjoyed your peice about 'swagger' in grime immensely, it never ceases to amaze me that people would rather listen to what the US is doing, rather than find out what the UK is doing. I mean each to their own, but then when I do hear people I know listening to UK artist's they are always, weak, over some 90bpm Hip Hop tune, spitting Giggs style lyrics, talking about "swagger" NAGL

i hear giggs being blasted from kids phones on the bus way more than grime artists... not sure why.

cause it sounds similar (NOT The same am very careful about that) to most of the southern hip hop, that seems to have gone from strength to strength in the UK (from my observation anyway) which is some of the most tedious rhyming going.

not as tedious however as skepta going on about fucking ed hardy

my favourite grime riddim at the moment is produced by mega, karnage has been dropping it every week for a while, always gets a wheel:

its just a breath of fresh air compared to all the nocturnal maniac and silencer that most djs seem to rely on

i think this one is probably a mega production too, its macksta on the vocal (unfortunately), hopefully will get some more vocals

Hey,

Thanks for everyone's help & suggestions while compiling the Terror Danjah instrumentals compilation.

We've come up with two releases. The "Industry Standard E.P. Part 4" and the album entitled "Gremlinz"

You can see the tracklistings and listen to clips of all the tracks here: GREMLINZ-THE INSTRUMENTALS 2003-2009

and here: INDUSTRY STANDARD PT.4

I've always wanted to do a Wiley "Eskibeats" compilation... ice cream man, dragons stout, eskimo etc.. very alien yet accessible music. It's one of the planned releases for next year. I've asked mms to deal with it. I'm hoping that the terror comp. will act as an incentive for wiley to accept our imminent offer of a release, but he is a very hard fellow to get an answer from sometimes. I dunno if he will be interested given that he receives big advances from majors nowadays... and might see the old beats as something he doesn't want to promote... we will see. We have quite a few inroads to him... we did manage to release "Local Lad" last year.
