re: islamophobia on grimeforum, well thats not really a surprise is it. most of the mcs and producers prob think the same i reckon. but its grime, and being 'enlightened' or at least aspring to it/appearing to be isnt really a grime thing. i mean, theres no great 'intelligent' or even 'conscious' wing to grime really is there? (and no doogz doesnt count). im surprised there is no muslim grime mc though like how hip hop used to have lots of NOI rappers. that could be pretty lethal. and potentially controversial. lots to rhyme about.
the new goodz album is pretty weak if im honest. dunno if its cos hes shot his load already (it wasnt grime but born blessed seemed to have better songs on it), but he seems to be riding on empty. beats dont help either. still prefer old 'hype' goodz to 'intelligent' goodz, cos without wanting to be patronising, the guy isnt really that deep far as i can tell. he should just stick to energy and not worry about being meaningful cos tracks like that one where hes wondering whta if grime was more popular or like hip hop arent very interesting as concept tracks.
