Btw I'd still guess it's primarily the hostages, but another reason for delaying an invasion, if it's coming, has to be Biden's visit. They can't very well invade before or while he's there.

As the official Israeli hospital explanation is basically "trust me bro it was a PIJ rocket", I think it can be safely assumed it was an Israeli strike unless there's extremely compelling counterevidence. I expect Bellingcat will be on the case soon, as well. They did an excellent OSINT investigation of the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh, the Palestinian journalist, last year, and concluded that Israel's claim that she was shot by Palestinians 'firing wildly' was total bullshit, and that she was almost certainly murdered by an IDF sniper.Friend of mine works on this project, which is about verifying facts. Not sure how their platform works though, but pretty sure it uses peer-to-peer infra:

All the politicians and journalists saying "we should not rush to judgement" about the al-ahli hospital blast are mysteriously silent on the fact that its been conclusively and repeatedly shown that Israel has targeted hospitals, ambulances and medics in gaza in the past. You'd think that would be a relevant fact worth mentioning in the coverage

Yeah, I've just seen a bunch of people on a Reddit thread acting as though it's been conclusively proven it wasn't Israel and all the people who thought it was must feel stupid now that Biden's made a loose statement and the IDF are claiming it was someone on the Palestinian side... Maybe it was, but surely they're making the same mistake they're accusing others of making by just believing this latest claim?
