Another thing: the Bloodline 'Chosen Ones' set is another reason why Big H and Bloodline don't get enough of your attention.

No, I'm not from east
but I lived there for a couple weeks
slept on the floor with no bedsheets

yeah gigantic bars.

hope there's more Chosen Ones sets.

Trim City is great, just really focused again. Obese has a hilarious track produced by Jersey with the most comedy bon tempe chorus, nicely contrasted by gully bars.

wow, that's sad... l always thought of RD being like the spiritual home of grime, since it was in Bow... the fact that one of the two times i went there, God's Gift was hanging out (talking alot of shit about basically everyone in grime) certainly helps mold that image in my mind...

their online site is still totally up, wonder what they will do w/ their stock?

don't think anyone's mentioned it, Tinchy's new free DL mixtape is pretty fucking good...

Does that mean there is no longer any shop on planet earth that has a half decent selection of mixtapes. I looked for Uptown when I was last in the smoke but couldnt find it, unless it's actually merged with wild pytch

£14.99 for an albums worth of wavs that would be £6.99 on CD is nuts

You can get individual WAVS a bit cheaper than Juno (£1.75) over at
http://www.trackitdown.net
/genre/dubstep/track/2020131.html

but they don't have a cheaper price for the whole album

There are a few vinyl rips on there as well and Get Along Gang is actually Colder (bass mix) which is also on there under its proper name. The CD might get released tomorrow so maybe hold off to see if it comes out.

I think its a shame its been done like this and even though I'm still happy to have the tunes I would have preferred a release on Planet Mu or something with a CD and vinyl release.

@ Owen Uptown has merged with Wyld Pitch but they don't keep much stock in there so you have to go to their office above some prostitutes if you want to pick something up. The old Uptown was quality, met loads of people and watched some great live sets in there.

I always used to shop from Independance Records in Lewisham. Went there in person a couple of times as well during my visits back to the UK. They always had reasonable delivery costs, and the owner was a lovely bloke, very helpful. I think it was his intentions to move to Canada himself. I wonder if that ever did happen.

most of my grime vinyl came from independance, they always had a great selection. Rest of my grime vinyl came from the old uptown but weirdly I only ever bought a few bits from RD. I think I probably thought that everyone got their vinyl there so would buy it from the lesser shops instead to increase freshness.

only went to RD twice i think
went independance quite a few times
went uptown loads
tho stopped after a while in fear of cameo pushing a ton of stuff i didnt really want on me lol
tho i liked hearing his opinions of stuff, esp when funky was getting bigger - he seemed to not really be that into a lot of new grime stuff and thought it was funny that 'night' was so huge
everyone behind the counter seemed to think dubstep was boring which prob wasnt the best thing to say to sell it to people

always skinning up aswell..

that's always handy.. Anyone ever buy the Maximum Mix CD from Rhythm Division with Morgue etc.. all on it? It was pre-roll deep era for him, so I guess that makes it, wolfpack? or Essentials? who was it he USED to DJ for? The one's who used to do the box bloody fresh DVD's? Ah...East Connection! That's it.
