She's probably being paid handsomely now she's on the American circuit. The donors will throw money at you if you say some culture war shit and talk up conflict with China.
I understand why she's grabbing to he money of course. I mean despite the attempts she can surely never be a frontline mp again for any party that hopes to be taken seriously. Just surprised at people who go "Oh look there's that total fucking idiot who opportunistically seized the leadership and then fucked it up really really badly in record time and had to be bailed out before she crashed the economy - I wonder what she has to say, please take my money".

youve said that about various other people who have just laid low for a bit then gone on to be frontline mps again. schapps was it? something like that. fox? various conmen. i wouldnt be surprised to see her back.

she always was being paid by those people id assume. thats who she works for. a lot of politicans/public just seem to be frontmen for institutional interests. cf the where does the cuture war come from thread
That's definitely what that Telegraph writer said ain't it. He's hardly some radical conspiracy theorist but he said that she was entirely owned by vested interests hence her moronic economic policy which only makes sense if you see it as entirely aimed at enriching the ultrarich. And it would explain the people pretending that she was somehow right.

Fox, Hunt etc were all exposed as devious conmen, whereas Trust has been shown to be completely incompetent and I think that's more damaging.

I think she'll have strong enough connections and a vague enough profile to wing it in the US for a bit. They can bill her as a former prime minister unfairly brought down by their ideological opponents and the people in their milieu will just go along with it because the narrative is paramount.

Well I can't imagine many people paid much attention to what actually happened right enough.

I think the hard right, in both the USA and in this country, has reached the point where failing as hard as Truss has can almost be considered an advantage, or at least a sort of badge of honour, because the harder they fail, the more it shows how much effort the sinister, ubiquitous They put into orchestrating their downfall (and therefore how right they were). And the great thing about a They is that They can be pretty much any group of alleged interests, who may or may not even exist, but in Truss's case apparently includes Remoaners, the Woke Mob, the MSM, the fake Conservatives (do we have 'TINOs' now?) who didn't believe in her genius plan to rescue the economy by abolishing taxation, and the conspiracy of Marxist-Leninists who run the Bank of England, the London Stock Exchange, and most major corporations.

This comes up in that book I mentioned about Italian politics. One of the right's defenses is that the judiciary and anyone else involved in implicating them is part of an elaborate left wing conspiracy and that they're the real victims in all this.

Well it is at least a bit more plausible that members of the judiciary could have left-wing beliefs than that the UK's economic establishment is run by a cabal of socialists.

Sadly, the GOP loves all things Thatcher. If Truss tries to position herself as Maggie redux, they'll eat it up.

Basically sounds like something that a four year old would try if they lost a game of Monopoly - "They started with more money and the dice were fixed and they grabbed properties from the deck when I wasn't looking and... long story short, I should have won and it's not fair waaaaaggggh."

Hmmmmm

So he's on tape very clearly saying that black people are lower class and all white people should have a black person as a slave - they're hardly gonna need DCi Barnaby to investigate that one are they? It's the easiest question to answer since "Did Boris Johnson deliberately mislead parliament?"
