Dot Rotten's Something Out of Nothing has totally grown on me, esp when you screen out the "I'm cheating on my girlfriend/bad autotune/i get mine sextime tunes" which is about 4 of 22. the rest are f**king sick, one's even got this mad dirty funk bassline like US Alliance All I Know Da Grunge mix. Another sounds like a Negro Spiritual... just nuts. He can do emo, dirty funk and 'ardest barer... badman.

Here you go Dan, just recorded the records for you to hear. Kung Fu is the flip of Chinkrasta and I thought the Jammer remix of Brinin Da Mayhem fitted in as well. I'm a big fan of all of the Sino Grime tunes. Jammer is definitely a top producer :D

The tune just stops abruptly like that on the vinyl, I haven't chopped it.

omg amazing, thanks so much simon! really appreciate it. someone just posted i luv u remix on the comments of the piece, too, which is obscene thing to leave out, as it's one of my fav grime tunes ever. but then i wasn't trying to write a definitive post, just an intro really :)

there's a bunch of youtube links been posted on grimeforum in response too for those that are interested..

Anyone know anything about Trims new cd, Monkey Features? He said it was coming out on 30 November on that Oneman set the other week.

talking of sinogrime dot rotten vocalled dizzee's brand new day beat on Something Out of Nothing, which isn't the dream colabo it could be (the CD has far better and far worse moments). shame he didnt use the proper instrumental tho but that said it's probably a bit much to expect him to get the japanese boy in da corner instrumental CD version eh? i'll stop rambling now...
