hey IdleRich, if it helps you cast your vote i think you're a prick.
I think this is just one of those comfortable cliches people come out with that doesn't really stand up to much scrutiny; the old secretly-gay homophobe, etc. Well, maybe it's true some of the time, but I bet most homophobes really are just straight people who, for one reason or another, are prejudiced against gay people.
I would say I have a hatred of aggressive, pushy, arrogant people, and that doesn't imply I am one myself, because I'm certainly not.
Another reason for hatred of people with certain characteristics can be a kind of non-aspirational jealousy - in that you don't really want to be like that person, but being like them sure would make things easier
That would obviously explain my hatred for popular, witty, good looking, talented people with large bank accounts and trophy wives.
Yeah, that's a good point. I'm sure we've all known at least one perfectly nice girl who's going out with a complete wanker, for example...
are you talking about hate or envy?
Hahaha, obviously I know what it *actually* means, I was just messing about. Jeez, you take the bait every time, don't you?![]()

I think he's talking about hateful envy.
Yeah, but you were talking about my comment.
No, because such people are commonly regarded as dicks and I'd rather people didn't think that about me. I like the fact people generally consider me easy-to-get-on-with.but do you hate aggressive, pushy, arrogant people because you yourself don't have the balls to act that way?
I certainly wouldn't say I'm shy - I'm just the sort of person that waits his turn in a queue rather than trying to push in front of other people, that sort of thing.i've noticed introspective, shy people in general clash with aggressive pushy people.

Aggressive, selfish people are just fucking annoying and unpleasant to be around, aren't they? It can't be a particularly controversial opinion I'm expressing here. I'm not saying everyone ought to be a self-effecing wimp either, there's plenty of middle ground.
I don't think it's terribly 'subjective' to say that people who habitually push into queues are dicks, they just ARE.
Rudeness and discourtesy piss me right off. I'm not saying you have to go out of your way to please others every waking minute, but people who go around like they're the only person on earth that matters shouldn't be surprised that they don't have many friends.

I'd say that I'm rather shy and introspective, and although most of the time pushy people don't get along with me (and vice versa) some of my best friends are quite aggressive and extroverted.
name and shame!Me and my chums thought it was hilarious one night when a certain member of a certain electro-pop act (who I quite like actually) pushed into a queue outside a club in front of us and had the bouncer escort him and his girlfriend about forty yards down the street to the end of the line. "Do you know who I am, I'm friends with the headline DJ, etc, etc,"
