I just chopped it up a bit in Peak to remove the 'Marcus Nasty dubplate special' vocal so I could play it.

I did the same thing with the Lil Silva - Different VIP as well.

^^ the way some of the producers carry on and tag their tunes every 3 seconds i thought it was already epidemic.

that's a bit weak though. if you're going to put out an unmixed comp then leave the idents out. released = not your exclusive anymore. just sayin.

this looks amazing, not least because it's a funky night not afraid to show its grimey/MC-focused colours, when it seems to be the perennial marcus-led received wisdom in funky that MCs will be the death of everything. but i can't go :(

sorry if this is a stupid question but i've not really been following this stuff much. is there much along these lines but with bashment/soca-ish vocals that has been released? the heatwave mix is all specials or unreleased right? or has some stuff like that come out?

most of the vocal tunes are on the R'n'B tip but there are a few to some with JA style vocals. probably similar proportionally to UKG in this respect.

most grime MCs spittin on funky need to step up the subtlety game and work WITH the riddim instead of just shouting all the damn time as if it was grime.

Completely different in my opinion.

I bought them from Juno and didn't expect them to have put dubplate specials up for sale. I wouldn't have bothered if I had known.

I don't feel guilty about it.
