Hey! Larisa here (I interviewed you last week)

maybe we will cross paths this weekend? Not sure of my musical plans, in London I'm spoilt for choice.

hope all's good.
word the cat originally sent me that video... i know nothing about that scene and would love to find out more. any chance of you scoring some of that new-generation Coupe De Cale? that would be amazing. I think i'm completely set on Ocora, if there are a few missing i will let you know. anything else you think i should not live life without, just upload! (or you can also ask first to see if i have it...) i have not shared anything on Diff. Waters for too long... soon will change! best to you! - z
Dear Zhao
I've just seen the vid link you posted last month on Dissensus about the logobi dancing kids in Champigny. I wanna say mega thanks for this, since I didn't know about it, even if these kids live like a few train stops away from my place. I found the music and dancing totally great. Where did you get it from? Some French guy? And are you familiar with any of the tracks heard on the various logobi vids? Because it doesn't sound to me like "proper" coupe decale, it's kind of ruffer and semi-euro sounding... I guess it's the new generation of west african dance producers, probably working from Paris rather than Abidjan...

Thanks again for this and generally for the different waters blog which I really love. Oh and let me know if you want me to u/l rare Ocora or VGE stuff (like the Kenya awesome double CD, the incredible Ethiopia polyphonics anthology, or some amazing Niger tribal stuff), we got all we want here in parisian record libraries.

Have a nice day!

Hey there Tom. Did you send in your list for the '00s to Todd? Got a bit of a shortlist going on but I need to properly go through my records and sort things this weekend. I'm all up for a bit of sneaky collaboration if it means that certain bits will get in. For example, that The Other People Place LP needs a good shunting up the list for albums, because I don't think many of the other RA writers will even know of it, never mind vote for it. Could you send over your list to richardcarnes@residentadvisor.net and I'll send mine back over this weekend? Monday is our deadline. I'm being serious about this! I've seen the end of year poll things, and while I don't mind the albums and compilations list, the tracks one has far too many shitty mediocre tunes in it for my liking. Jamie Jones at bloody #5 with that "Summertime" tune posted above. What a fucking joke.
The new Ike Yard Ep is now out, a link in the 'Events, new releases' thread to iTunes, 10" vinyl coming, CD album in Dec.
Yeah, lots still going on ; have started my label REC, 2 releases out as of now (new Dominatrix Ep and Voodooists rerelease Ep ), REC003 will be the collaboration with Luca (met here on Dis ) /Judy Nylon reading/ our new group Outpost ( w/ Mark C from Live Skull ) /music guest Jamie Vex'd out late Dec./ early Jan.
New Death Comet Crew mixing in Dec., a book/ AV Nightclubbing Diaries in the works.
So yeah, still going on. Best on the new plants, new soil never hurts, but yes, takes time ...
Cheers Bruno, alot of us missed you !
fine, thank you! how are your myriad projects coming along? i enjoyed the ike yard disc very much, incidentally, it's a prized posession. i'm not very good at this forum thing but i'll poke my head in every so often. best, bruno
Hi, PM was just thanking you for the tunes and saying I'd send you some thoughts on them. Which I will do very soon!
