I'm excited that I've heard (of) practically none of the records listed here. I wish there was a bit more consensus emerging, so I'd know where to start seeking things out. But I guess that would make a nonsense of this forum's name.

How do you guys do this? I can't remember what came out this year anymore. Although one of the first things that comes to my mind is Terror Danjah. He had a really good year.

yeah i have the same hazy memory about releases... i like reading other people's lists tho.

re; terror danjah - really? he had shitloads of releases but i don't think i single one of them is worthy of a place in a 'best of' list.. definite case of quantity over quality imo.

Bring out the vacuum
Hahaha i just did that and apparently since May (when I got a new computer) I've been listening almost exclusively to Black Sabbath and Redman.

But this is the thing - instead of doing a "top 10 records of 2010" list, why not do a "top
10 records ever" list? or "top 10 records for feeling like you're on drugs when you're not" or whatever else... what's the whole wrapping-up-the-year thing all about? It's certainly not the best way to find new music.

Darned cockwombles.
That Emeralds album (number 8) is great - this is why end-of-year lists rock, cos they always throw up 3 or 4 really decent new thigns influenced by Krautrock, that i never pick up on because I don't read Dusted website on a regular.

Yes, the Emeralds album is great. Best thing on the - a little disappointing - FACT list I think.

I posted this before but I think it got lost in the great server switch-over...

Wasn't there an Autechre album this year? I remember people freaking out about how good it was earlier in the year but I don't think I've seen it in any lists yet.
