@yyaldrin The tea? I attended an event in New York that I had expressed some mild interest in but previously told sus I probably wouldn’t go to, which angered him. I apologized rather generously for this not-even faux pas, he proceeds to call me a Machiavellian narcissist psychopath behind my back. Then invites me for burgers at his, to which I say no thanks, as linebaugh cracks jokes about his Honor Levy fandom. Stormed off in a rage. I was very humane and publicly vulnerable with him about the whole thing, not much reciprocation, version tried to console me he was merely doing a bit, so I choose to believe version, my trustworthy guide and handler on this forum

Well by the looks of it I can’t necessarily rely on you to discern these things for me. I’ve got to trust my own judgment, which tells me that Gus and I need more Real online hanging before we could become entangled in each other’s Real lives. But his greed is too strong. I offer him my mind but he demands my body

But I know he was joking about that. Its all a joke guys. Gus is just busy working on great literature or something, good for him, so let’s all continue having a laugh. When he gets back for real he better have something to show for himself this time, though. Something better than that “he was giving” “she was giving” garbage

If you want to get it, you'll have to watch first 42 minutes of The Way of Water

It's a lot of homework, I don't necessarily recommend it. But if you want to have your life changed and your mind expanded it's a good idea.

You will learn about Lynn Margulis's theory of endosymbiosis. You will learn about how every family is a fortress. You will learn about cycles of samsara and blood feuds and Bob Axelrod's forgiving tit-for-tat strategy.

The hero is significant because of how he alters the balance. All heroes—and all villains—are either disruptors, protectors, or restorers of equilibrium.1 This is why all monomyths begin with departures from reality: the arrival of a falling star, a new stranger in town, a causal ripple which journeys through time and space to the hero’s world. The ready-at-hand becomes present-to-hand. The inherited rituals grow maladaptive. The old gods walk again.

Perhaps you're learning to let love into your heart. That seems unlikely though. Probably just learning to simulate it like an advanced brand of replicant

This is actually really readable. Your stuff used to repel the eye and damage the vision. Something has changed
a lot of people are content to just putter around in the shed forever but he strives to constantly get better at what he does. he's always had an abnormal amount of mental bandwidth, but over the time i've been reading his stuff he's def gotten better at channeling it in rewarding ways.

It's okay I know nobody read it but I appreciate the sophisticated simulation it really made my morning. I'll go on living in my pretend world

Is it really readable? I really wanted it to be fun. And then I wrote such a wearing introduction that I was scared I'd ruined it and no one would ever get to the gossipy parts where I talk about what a moron Jake is
