My ideological point that some men want to give women what they want. I'm not giving women what they want in order to make an ideological point. I enjoy romance, and hypermasculine culture fears me all the more for it.
It's true that some capitalist institutions are non-gendered. I'm just investigaing the institution that are gendered. Talk about laws and bureaucracy is besides the point of identity politics. Too many identity politikers think identity politics is the be all end all theory for all politics. This is a huge mistake, but Thirdform erroneously attributes this view to me. In fact, I argue that identity politics is necessarily partial: my doing identity politics doesn't necessarily entail my doing legal politics, political economy, Marxist or otherwise, or Rawlsian politics or any other kind of politics other than identity politics. All I'm trying to do here is make claims about identity politics, and I argue that these claims entail a subversion of the gender binary. Where is your subversion of the patriarchy, Thirdform sir? Oh that's right, you have none because you desparately cling to traditional conceptions of masculinity, like using homophobic insults to demean your opponents in argument. You also cling for dear life to traditional notions of male femininity as "demeaning and condescending". Obviously, male femininity is uplifting and empowering. Enough with the ad hominem attacks, attack my arguments, not me, the person.
But here's a little empirical test for you all: ask a woman you know whether she would rather have to ask to get her pussy ate or get her pussy ate without asking. I think we all know what the answer will be.
