Wow, even the time-ascendant archivist who occupies a balcony seat curiously observing the quaint 4-dimensional comedies of us mere mortals has no time for Luke. Not right now.
what about now?Not right now.
Necroposting but saw this today and for some reason everyone in the cinema was laughing at what I thought was the most dramatic bit, where she's hammered on that big fluffy carpet and shouting at her mum and her kid. i don't get our american brothers sometimes. but I do like how much noise they make in cinemas. always laughing and whooping. a round of applause at the end for this one too.Petra von Kant, I think that's the first Fassbinder one I saw. I had just started going out with this Spanish girl and she bought the early boxset which has his first twenty odd films in it. We loved that one and from that day on I went to her place every evening where we would watch one or two of his films together until the boxset was completed.
The early, romantic days of courting when you do loads of stuff together and it all seems fun... before it all goes horribly wrong and you turn viciously on each other. Still, we'll always have Fassbinder the Early Years I guess.
Yeah I think that might be the heaviest (and one of the best) war films I've seen. The gradual erosion of that kids sense of innocence.Ended up watching Come and See. Jesus Christ. Knew almost nothing going in. Another one I imagine others here will have things to say on
fucking hell totally forgot about this filmtheres this but its very long

nice film. don't think I've seen a german one before
Thats how I interpreted it... The purest example of a philistine conceivable.Wait, are you saying you've never seen a German film before?
yeah i don't think so. i hardly watched any films between about 2003 and about 2021. wasn't interested at all, had no respect for it. only really got interested coz i liked a lot of the video art i saw in galleries. don't think i've seen a german one before.Wait, are you saying you've never seen a German film before?
