I liked that, the hint of mystery, another layer to the events of the story.

I did too, his recurring questions to her about whether he still has luck on his side. A more honest and sympathetic way of dealing with his character as a coke dealer with a midlife career crisis than making it his responsibility to learn a trade or something. An acknowledgment that there are larger more impersonal forces at work

I won't unreservedly recommend it but I watched "Drunken Angel" last night. It's quite good cos Mifune has the GOAT face, especially when he dances like a panther to a jazz song about the jungle, and I also quite enjoyed the alcoholic doctor being an absolute cunt except for the saving people from TB thing.

I was looking up point break scenes to post here and I realised there's too many classic scenes to pick one

It makes me think of starting a thread about the best screen faces ever, including Keanu, cos he's got a great face, albeit one of the worst actors around
